Terms of Service

1. Who we are

RentAhead is an automated rental alert service that monitors Dutch rental listing platforms and notifies subscribers when new listings match their search criteria. RentAhead is operated by Van Casteren IT, the Netherlands (KvK: 77369211).

2. The service

RentAhead scans publicly available rental listings and sends email notifications based on your configured filters (city, price range, size). We do not list properties ourselves, have no affiliation with landlords or platforms we scan, and are not involved in any rental transaction.

3. Account and subscriptions

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are shown at signup.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

4. What we do not guarantee

RentAhead is an alert tool, not a rental agency. We do not guarantee:

  • That any listing we alert you about is still available when you contact the landlord
  • The accuracy or completeness of listing data (price, size, location)
  • Any particular response time or uptime, though we aim for best effort
  • That using RentAhead will result in finding a home

Alerts depend on third-party platforms. If those platforms change their structure or block access, alerts for that source may be delayed or interrupted.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use RentAhead for automated scraping or data harvesting via our platform
  • Share account access with others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with our service

6. Intellectual property

All content, branding, and code on RentAhead belongs to Van Casteren IT. Listing data originates from third-party platforms and belongs to their respective owners.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, RentAhead is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including missing a rental opportunity. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding a claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We will notify subscribers by email for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
